Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has dropped a big hint of his interest in Marseille midfielder Mathieu Valbuena.

The attacking midfielder is tied to l'OM until 2017 and talked up the interest of both Arsenal and Manchester United in the past.

Wenger, it is suggested, was sending a clear message of his admiration for Valbuena when telling him in a column over the weekend: "You must take responsibility and realise how important you are to France."
