Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger must wait for Olympique Lyon striker Karim Benzema.

He has attracted interest from a host of top European clubs and Wenger is a known admirer.

He told Eurosport: "In France he scored 11 goals in 10 games and he has fantastic efficiency.

"But he is also a good link player, he is not only a goalscorer, and I believe he could be an immense revelation at the 2008 European Championship."

But Benzema, who has a contract until 2012, told French radio channel RTL: "I have many things still to achieve with Lyon. I will stay until we win the Champions League. After that, we will see."
