Arsenal boss Wenger admits Bendtner needs games to find touch

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits Nicklas Bendtner needs games to rediscover his touch.

The presence of Robin van Persie and Marouane Chamakh has restricted Bendtner's opportunities in his preferred centre-forward role but the 22-year-old could play through the middle when Arsenal visit Ipswich Town for the first leg of their Carling Cup Semi-Final this evening.

"At the moment it is a bit congested centrally so he might have an opportunity to play [on Wednesday]," Wenger told Arsenal.com.

"Through the middle? I don't know yet. He has played very good games for Arsenal on the flanks but I know that his preferred position is in the middle.

"Overall his battle is more to get in form again and that comes from playing. He has worked very hard and he is getting sharper and sharper, but he is not completely there yet."
