Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says they won't be trying again for West Brom captain Jonny Evans.

The Gunners failed with a bid for the Ulsterman last month.

Ahead of Monday's night clash with Albion, Wenger was asked if they'd be trying again: "No. Once the transfer period is over, you focus on your squad and your players.

"You accept that as well from the players who play for their club."
