Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has urged youngster Alex Iwobi to follow in the footsteps of right-back Hector Bellerin.

Bellerin, who made his senior debut in the Premier League last season, was selected in the PFA Team of the Year and Wenger believes that he could be a perfect role model for the emerging Iwobi.

When asked about the Spaniard's inclusion in the annual team, Wenger said: "He was like Iwobi last year, that means he came into the squad and continued to develop.

"For Iwobi that's a good way to follow, to move even a step up next season.

"The positive of the season is that Hector has been consistent. He was outstanding in the first half as well."
