Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was surprised that it was Denilson who scored the Gunners' opener on Saturday against Hull City. The Brazilian was not meant to take the free kick from which he netted with an impressive strike.
"I was puzzled that Denilson took the free-kick," the Frenchman explained.
"Maybe Nasri was going to take it but he had a problem.
"They know who takes the free-kicks Robin van Persie is number one, Cesc Fabregas number two or [Samir] Nasri. [Tomas] Vermaelen goes for long distance.
"Sometimes you have to accept when someone doesn't feel right and gives it to someone else."
