Arsenal boss on Monreal non-handball - ‘They don’t give that anymore’

Arsene Wenger played down a non-penalty call against Arsenal in the second half of their 3-1 win over AFC Bournemouth.

The ball was played to hand of the the left-back in the 73rd minute of the contest at the Emirates Stadium but referee Mike Jones waved away the protests from the Cherries, which landed midfielder Harry Arter a yellow card.

After the match, Wenger spoke of the incident which he feels was the correct decision in the modern age of football.

"They don't give that anymore because it has to be deliberate handball," said the Frenchman.

"It's along his body.

"I personally don't complain when we don't get these kind of penalties but I'm maybe not a rule specialist."
