Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger: This FA Cup my proudest moment

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says their FA Cup final triumph was one of the proudest moments of his career.

Despite the mountain of medals Wenger has won over two decades in North London few victories have been as sweet for the 67-year-old as this afternoon's.

“It is [one of the proudest moments of my career] because nobody gave us a chance. We responded with attitude and class. We have seen that today."

Though Wenger must now wait until next week to discover whether he will stay on as Arsenal manager next season, a role he is convinced he is still the best person for, he has etched his place into English footballing history once more.

“If nobody has done it between 18-god knows when and today it means it's not easy," Wenger said of his record. “And I'm especially proud of the way we won this season, in the semi-final against Man City in the final against Chelsea.

“You cannot get tougher and we had two outstanding performances. This Cup was won with special spirit and special attitude."
