Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger faces complete ban from Chelsea clash

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could be banned from their Chelsea clash.

The Daily Star says the FA are set to take a dim view of Wenger's antics during Sunday's 2-1 win over Burnley.

The Frenchman has been charged with verbally abusing and pushing fourth official Anthony Taylor. He has until 6pm on Thursday to respond.

The 67-year-old was dismissed by referee Jon Moss, who had just awarded Burnley a penalty, for venting his fury at Taylor.

A touchline ban means a manager cannot sit in the dugout but can still communicate with the coaching staff via telephone or messenger.

But a stadium ban means a boss is barred from entering the ground before, during and after a game and cannot communicate with staff at any point.

If the FA do opt to hit Wenger with a stadium ban, it would need to be for three games if he is to miss the game at Stamford Bridge on February 4.

If it is just one, he'd miss Saturday's FA Cup tie at Southampton.
