Arsenal board stall over Arteta deal

Arsenal are stalling over the decision about who to hire as their next manager.

Most English outlets are in agreement that Mikel Arteta is the favorite for the job.

There were some rumors about Luis Enrique and Massimiliano Allegri in recent weeks. However, it appears the Gunners board is heading in the direction of Arteta.

But they are still not sure about whether to offer him a contract. The club's majority shareholder Stan Kroenke and the rest of the board will meet over the decision very soon.

The Daily Star reports their meetings this week will determine whether Arteta is the man to succeed Arsene Wenger.

There are two reasons why Arteta is the man who they are favoring. For starters, he is cheaper than the alternatives. And they also believe he would be a better fit with their new football structure, which includes a director of football and a chief scout who will have a lot of say in transfers.
