Arsenal board excited by Wenger's young team

Arsenal's board are excited by the young team manager Arsene Wenger is building.

Chairman Peter Hill-Wood told Arsenal TV Online: "I think we've got as exciting a squad as I can remember. They are relatively young but all quite experienced now, and I think the football we have been playing is testimony to Arsene's judgement for finding young players and developing them, very often into world stars.

"He acquires young players that most people have never heard of. I for one have not heard of a lot of the players he has bought in. But he develops them, he supports them and coaches them. He has really worked miracles with the squad he has put together. From what I have heard recently he is very happy with the squad and confident they are going to have a very successful season.

"I love that because if you get them young enough you can bring them up in the right way and they become Arsenal people. We have got a very good youth academy. Liam Brady does a magnificent job with Steve Bould and all the others. I have been told we have got three or four outstanding young players who could be not out of place in the Champions League in a couple of years time."
