Arsenal to bid for Palace fullback Clyne

Arsenal are eyeing Crystal Palace fullback Nathaniel Clyne.

The Croydon Advertiser says Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has identified the 18-year-old as a possible summer target after having the teenager watched on numerous occasions at the back end of last season.

A bid in the region of £4million for one of the hottest properties outside the Premier League is likely to be enough to persuade Palace to part with the full-back.

comments from Arsenal fans here show they are not true football fans ....not true.
they are understandably sceptical. they haven't seen him play.

clyne will play for england.

if he has to go ....i'm glad he's off to arsenal. wenger will develop and get the best out of him.

these few comments tells me that the youngster that mr wenger is targeting is really a good one.woow hopes he would fit exactly to our style of play only if wenger is going to sign.

Hopefully Nate will stay - he's already shown more loyalty than that 'orrible little sh*tbag Bostock did by signing a contract and making sure we get a fee.

If he goes, Arsenal would be a far better bet than the talent-wreckers just down the road from them.

And Arsenal fans, don't worry - this boy is pure class. Having had the pleasure of seeing Ashley Cole play a season at Palace, I can assure you Nathaniel is better - he has similar attributes to Cole but he can also defend! All he needs is a bit of experience, and Mr Wenger has shown he can bring out the best from young stars.
