Arsenal have reportedly won the race to sign Nigerian starlet Lateef Omidiji Jr.

AllNigeriaSoccer.com is of the belief that the Gunners have beaten Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona to the 13-year-old whizkid.

American-born Omidiji Jr is currently training with Dutch club Sparta Rotterdam's famed academy but will reportedly 'travel to London every summer to train with the youth team of Arsenal'.

It is understood that the talented striker will work closely with the North Londoners until he is of age to sign a professional contract.

Omidiji Jr has also been watched by Chelsea, Manchester City, PSG and Ajax but Arsene Wenger has beaten off the strong competition.
