Arsenal to be without Oxlade-Chamberlain for at least six weeks

Arsenal's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is set to miss at least six weeks with a knee injury.

The 20-year old winger sustained posterior cruciate ligament damage in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Aston Villa with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger suggesting he will be out for just under two months.

"He will be out for at least six weeks. He has a posterior cruciate problem, a ligament which is stretched," Wenger said.

"We don't think it will need surgery. He is consulting tonight, but it will be at least six weeks out." However, Oxlade-Chamberlain himself posted on Twitter that perhaps the injury may keep him out until November.
