Arsenal are back in for Fiorentina midfielder Riccardo Montolivo.

Montolivo attracted enquiries from Arsenal during the summer as they prepared to lose Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona.

With the midfielder's agent admitting he could be sold in January, Arsenal are ready to try again.

In the Gunners' favour is Fiorentina's position: while AC Milan are keen, they would prefer to sell to a foreign club.

The 26 year-old is off contract in June and will not sign a new deal.
