Arsenal have made an improved bid for David Villa, according to reports today, claims The Independent. The Barcelona striker has been linked with the Gunners throughout the transfer window but last night boss Arsene Wenger reckoned there would not be a deal.
Barca have consistently said they are not willing to sell the Spain international, but Arsenal are looking to test their resolve with a bid of between £10m-£12m.
Previous bids for the 31-year-old were thought to be closer to £8m.
