Arsenal attacker Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is out of England's final World Cup group game today against Costa Rica.
It means the midfielder will not play any part in the World Cup after suffering an injury setback in training.
"It was a blow to lose Oxlade-Chamberlain," said coach Roy Hodgson. "We've been fortunate to go through the tournament and the preparation with so few injuries.
"On Sunday morning he had a slight recurrence of the knee problem and will now be out."
