Arsenal attacker Gervinho admits he's enjoying his striker role this season.

While acknowledging that he still has a lot to learn in his new position, Gervinho believes he has the ability to be a success up front.

"In the middle, it gives you lots of options," he told the Official Arsenal Magazine.

"You can make a run on the right, on the left, deep in the centre. It's a big advantage. I feel good there and I am working hard to improve in that position.

"I don't have the physical ability to play in the air or to hold the ball up so I am learning how I can make the best of my qualities for that position.

"I am working very hard at training to improve my efficiency, to be more clinical in front of goal. It has been my flaw so far. I know I still have a lot more to learn but I am more confident now - the start of the season and my goals so far have showed that I have improved a lot."
