Arsenal and Atletico Madrid are discussing compo terms over Fran Merida's return to Spain.
As he is under 24 years of age, Arsenal will be due a 'training allowance' from Merida's Bosman switch to Atletico.
Arsenal are seeking around £3 million for Merida, while Atletico are reluctant to pay more than £1 million for the Spain U21 midfielder.
The case is destined for a tribunal hearing.
