Arsenal have reportedly made enquiries to French club Lyon regarding Yoann Gourcuff.
The Gunners have admired the 25-year old France international midfielder for some time and it is believed that they have now approached Les Gones officials.
Gourcuff has fallen out of favour at Stade de Gerland in recent times and it is felt that Arsene Wenger is keen to bring him into his squad in January on loan.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas suggested that Gourcuff would not be sold but hinted that a loan could be a possibility.
"Yoann is Lyonnais," Aulas told OLTV. "He will be with Lyon on December 31, and obviously until June 30. And surely thereafter."
