Arsenal and Manchester City are reportedly set to engage in a bidding war for Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos.
The Manchester Evening News and Spanish publication AS are reporting the German international is considering leaving the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, with the Gunners and City looming as possible destinations.
Kroos is in the second year of a six-year contract with Real, but reports in Spain claim he is already prepared to move on.
It is understood incoming City boss Pep Guardiola is eager to reunite with the player he coach for a season at Bayern Munich.
The signing of Kroos would bolster City's attacking stocks, with club stalwart Yaya Toure reportedly considering leaving the Etihad Stadium during the offseason.
Manchester United have been long-term admirers of the 26-year-old, who won the 2014 World Cup with Germany, and are also expected to make a summer move for his services.
