Arsenal have reportedly joined the chase for SC Freiburg forward Maximilian Philipp.

Bild is reporting that the Gunners are interested in the 22-year-old who is already a target for Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund.

It is understood that a January deal for Philipp looks highly unlikely but the trio of interested clubs have been given hope that a summer transfer is a possibility.

Philipp, who joined Freiburg from Energie Cottbus in 2013, has netted five gals in 13 Bundesliga appearances this season for a total of 14 goals, as well as 21 assists, in 76 matches for the Breisgau outfit.
