Arsenal have agreed to let Denilson extend his time at Sao Paulo a further 12 months.
The 24-year-old is no longer in Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger's first team plans and is continuing his career at his boyhood club.
The Gunners had initially pushed for a permanent deal and placed a £6million figure.
