Arsenal are closing in on Anderlecht playmaker Denis Praet.

The Daily Express says Praet has been likened to Eden Hazard and Wesley Sneijder, and has been in fine form for Anderlecht this season.

Although Arsenal are strong going forward with Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud, Praet is unique and Wenger wants to flex the club's financial muscle following their new sponsorship deal last month with Emirates.

Praet has also been a mooted target of Manchester United, but Arsenal appears a more likely destination.
