Arsenal admit they were out of order with a provocative ad in their matchday programme on the weekend.

The Daily Mail reports Arsenal went out of their way to antagonise the media promoting coverage of Arsene Wenger's press conferences on their club TV network.

It read: "Find out what the boss really thinks, if you like your quotes direct, whole and un-spun, make up your mind with Arsenal Player."

At least Arsenal admitted the wording was a mistake, with PR boss Mark Gonnella saying: "It was unfortunate and inappropriate and won't be repeated."
