Arsenal ace Walcott: I'm now playing with more consistency

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott feels he's finding a greater consistency in his game.

Walcott believes critics forget how young he is when it comes to his form.

"I have broken 200 appearances now and a lot of people don't break into the team until they are 24," Walcott told Standard Sport.

"So people forget that and they expect a lot from me. I got into the World Cup squad immediately and there was always going to be pressure on me straight away. But I think I have dealt with it well. Class is always permanent and form dips during the season - that's always the case.

"You can't play well all season and I was struggling. I don't know why. Maybe I took my eye off the game. I am always going to be judged on stats and it has definitely picked up since Spurs. When you are playing in a team that's winning, it makes your job so much easier. That game was massive for me but also for the team."
