Arsenal ace Walcott eyes striker role

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has revealed he could be deployed as a striker this coming season.

"The boss said hopefully he will start to put me up front now and then," he said. "That's my natural position but I'd play anywhere for this team.

"I want to improve my final ball and score more goals. You get judged on goals so I want to score 15-plus this season.

"I love making runs in behind, I love scoring goals and making goals. That's what I'll be judged on and I'm looking forward to that."

wenger should just make a mistake of puttin d guy upfront and i'd bet d trophy drought will continue. walcot cant supply what arsenal needs upfront,a typical striker in d epl must b strong and has predatory insticts(lyk torres),walcot is a kid,and i dont even think a maturd walcot should strike, walcot will perform optimally on d flanks and i think he'l b d best @ it..u GONERS should make ade stay or buy a striker, walcot is not ripe yet!

Walcott does very well from the wings. His runs are breathtaking and spectacular. He has scored some great goals too, but his end touch is occasionally disappointing and it is a good sign that he recognises this and plans to work on it. I have no doubt however, that he will do well as a stricker. He may turn out to be the revelation in the new season if given that role.

yeah thats true,he is been overrated
