Arsenal ace Van Persie set for Dutch showdown at AC Milan

Arsenal ace Robin van Persie faces a Dutch test against Champions League opponents AC Milan.

The clash in Italy on Wednesday night puts Van Persie in direct ­conflict with Mark van Bommel.

Van Bommel currently wears the armband for ­Holland but his appearances for the Rossoneri have become ­sporadic.

And Arsenal’s hopes will be enhanced by their impressive record in their away matches against high-profile clubs.

Indeed, they won 2-0 away to AC Milan four years ago and manager Arsene Wenger said: “It was a great night because we stayed faithful to our game.

“Even Milan said we were the better team.”
