Arsenal ace Van Persie desperate for Liverpool revenge

Arsenal ace Robin van Persie is desperate for revenge over Liverpool on Sunday.

Van Persie, 25, still has nightmares about the way his team crashed out of the Champions League in the quarter-finals at Anfield in April.

Arsenal thought they had qualified after Emmanuel Adebayor scored with just six minutes left.

But Arsene Wenger's side suffered heartbreak when Steven Gerrard and Ryan Babel netted two late goals to send them crashing out.

Van Persie admits he is desperate to put the record straight this weekend and finally put the disappointment behind him.

He said: "The game stayed with me for a couple of weeks and I still don't know what happened. With six minutes to go we were through and were celebrating.

"But they got the ball and passed it to Ryan and he gets a penalty and we are out a minute later. That finished us - it was unbelievable. The line is so thin between winning and losing at this level.

"It was so frustrating because we were through. We just had to defend for five minutes but were not able to do that.

"We always keep in mind what happened. I know how their team are playing and what they did against us before and how they hurt us. I always take that with me."
