Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil could've been running around for Barcelona, it has been revealed.

Barcelona had a £7m agreement in place to sign Ozil from Werder Bremen back in 2010, says El Mundo Deportivo.

Ozil even met with Barcelona president Sandro Rosell but the Barcelona board was divided over the move, allowing Real Madrid to swoop.

Only a few weeks later Ozil ended up moving to Real for a fee in the region of £13m.
