Arsenal ace Alexandre Lacazette has no regrets turning down Atletico Madrid last summer.

The former Lyon striker chose Arsenal ahead of Atletico at the end of last season.

Atletico are celebrating winning the Europa League final last night, but Lacazette says: "If it was strange to play against Atlético Madrid that I could join a year ago? No.

"It made me especially odd to play against Antoine (Griezmann) and, decidedly, every time I play against him, I do not win.

"Was it a choice for the French team not to go to Atlético so not to stay six months without playing? Yes, of course."
