Arsenal academy chief Brady: Ireland won't affect day job

Arsenal academy chief Liam Brady is confident his new job with the Republic of Ireland won't affect his day job.

"I am confident it won't interfere with my work within Youth Development here at Arsenal," Brady told Arsenal.com.

"I have had meetings with the manager and Club directors including Richard Carr, the Director in charge of Youth Development, and feel comfortable in having taken the decision of accepting Giovanni Trapattoni's offer to help Ireland prepare for the next World Cup and imminent international fixtures and beyond.

"Having played for my country for 16 years it will be a great experience to join them and help.

"Now that everything has been cleared with the Club I'm very much looking forward to the part-time role."
