Celtic manager Neil Lennon feels the arrival of Cha Du-ri at the club has helped young gun Ki Sung-yueng settle.
22-year old Ki landed at Celtic Park from FC Seoul in August 2009 and was unable to make an immediate impact for the Hoops but more recently, he has been performing at a more consistent level and Lennon believes it is down to the fact that South Korean teammate Cha came along last summer.
"I think Cha Du-Ri coming to Celtic really helped him as well," Lennon said.
"It gave him a buddy away from the club and someone to hang about with.
"His English is good because he spent a bit of time in Australia.
"But culturally South Koreans are totally different from us, so we have to take that into consideration as well.
"I think Cha helped him enormously to settle in last year and now he has just taken his game on."
Ki produced three goals and three assists in 18 starts from midfield in the Scottish Premier League and so far this season has scored twice in the opening three matches.
