Marko Arnautovic was delighted to make his first Inter Milan appearance in the weekend's friendly against Lugano.
On-loan from FC Twente, Arnautovic featured in the 3-3 draw and later said: "I played more than 80 minutes and it was a positive training session for me.
"Clearly I am not yet 100 per cent fit, as I need a couple of weeks to be ready for the Coach. I also have to lose a bit of weight, but I want to work hard so I can help the team."
Arnautovic has been left off Inter's Champions League squad, though he could be added in January.
"It is the tactician's decision and I respect that. After all, I had barely trained at all with my new teammates until the last two weeks.
"I will work hard to convince Mourinho to put me in the list in January."
