Athletic Bilbao have handed veteran goalkeeper Armando Ribeiro a new 12-month contract.

Armando was at the centre of last week's flashpoint against Real Betis, when the match was called off after he was struck in the face by a water bottle thrown from the crowd.

Along with the 37 year-old goalkeeper, Bilbao are also set to announce new deals for Daniel Aranzubia and Gorka Iraizoz.
