Stats don't lie. And according to this season's numbers at Ajax, Arkadiusz Milik is set to become the next big star to graduate from their famous finishing school.
The Pole, on-loan from Bayer Leverkusen, has a better scoring record than famous Ajax old boys Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Luis Suarez.
As of last week, Milik had scored 17 goals in 16 games compared with eight over 16 games for Suarez at the age of 20 and six for Ibrahimovic at the same stage. His assists are also up with seven next to six for Suarez after 16 games and two for Ibrahimovic. He averages a goal every 41 minutes.
It's a record that has some of the most respected names in Dutch and Polish football predicting great things for the 20 year-old.
Former Holland and Poland coach Leo Beenhakker says the hype is justified.
"I look at his technique and see the pure talent. He's comparable at his age with (Robert) Lewandowski and Ibrahimovic, who I watched every day," said Beenhakker, now technical director at the Trinidad & Tobago FA.
SC Cambuur coach Henk de Jong, after recently being on the wrong end of a Milik performance, enthused: "He is an upcoming star.
"He does not look fast, but he is. He has a great ability of getting away from his marker.
"Milik just might be the next great Ajax striker."
Poland coach Adam Nawalka is delighted with what he is seeing from young 'Arek''.
And while there's still much he can improve, Nawalka says the attitude Milik shows has him in no doubt he'll get the most out of his ability.
"The progress is clear, but his development is no surprise. Arek is at an age when he is developing very fast. You absorb football skills like a sponge. Certainly he's improved his ability to move on the field and his tactical awareness, showing an increasing mental strength and maturity.
"He must continue to work, but there is no problem, because he's always had a great enthusiasm for the job. On the training pitch he is fantastic.
"You need to tell him to tone it down, because all the time he wants to stay longer and to practice individual skill."
Nawalka is quietly confident when predicting Milik will be one of Poland's brightest new stars.
"I've seen him every day in training and it was clear that he was going in the right direction, that his development will be correct. Every player has their ups and downs. Especially when they're young, going through different phases, but Arek has such a strong psyche that he will be prepared for difficult times."
Milik's instant impact and sudden fame has him now being mentioned with some of the biggest clubs in Europe. Liverpool, Everton and Arsenal all watched Milik when he was at Gornik Zabrze, where he drew comparisons with Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.
But Slawomir Mogilany, Milik's former junior coach, feels the youngster should bide his time with Ajax.
"If he is to go to another club, the earliest should be in 2-3 years, as a better player," Mogilany told Onet.
"Ajax is a very good place for Arek. The club is famous for working with young players, Arek met a group of players there at the same age. In Leverkusen it was a problem, because of the strength of the team, they were older players.
"I think Arek realizes that leaving Ajax now would be stupid."
Mogilany, who Milik rates as his "football father", adds: "I am glad that Arek's career is evolving. I hope that he will continue to grow, will become even better and in a few years will fulfill the dream of playing for a good Premier League club, or in the Primera Division."
Milik admits the Premier League is a favourite, where he first encountered Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo, then with Manchester United, and Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.
"I enjoy going down the wings, dribbling with the ball. It was a style of play like Cristiano Ronaldo, whom I like very much. My model was Thierry Henry, but when he went to Barcelona and his career began to fade a little, a role model for me became the Portuguese."
As for gracing Premier League stadiums in the short-term, Milik laughs.
"That's all I can do. I just laugh because I see these reports on the internet. But I can't tell if they're real or not. I have a rule - I don't worry about transfers during the season. I don't know if I'm ready for such a move."
