Arizona United hand marquee deal to ex-Vancouver, Orlando City forward Long Tan

Arizona United have announced the marquee signing of forward Long Tan as the clubs first of its kind.

The 26-year old Chinese attacker has signed a multi-year, marquee deal with the USL PRO outfit after a successful individual 2014 season for the new franchise.

Tan joined Arizona from Chinese side Harbin Yiteng in July this year and went on to score five goals in 12 appearances as the Michael Dellorusso-coached club finished ninth on US Soccer's third tier table.

The marquee signing of Tan, whose previous clubs include Vancouver Whitecaps, DC United and Orlando City, has delighted Arizona United general manager Kevin Stevenson who sees him as a key ingredient to the future of the club.

"We focused our energy in ensuring that Long Tan would be part of our club for many years to come," said Stevenson.

"We believe Long is a player we will build a playoff team around. Long is a fan favorite and in just two short months established himself as one of the best players in USL PRO."
