Football legend Diego Maradona to play in a "pro-peace match" in Colombia this month, as the 54-year old lends his support to the South American nation's ongoing peace process to end decades of bloody war.
The Colombian conflict has killed around 220,000 people and uprooted more than five million since the FARC launched its rebellion in 1964.
The government is now making strides forward to end the conflict and the "pro-peace match" on April 10th at the Techo Stadium in Bogota is seen as a huge step towards the process. The appearance of one of the greatest ever players in Diego Maradona during the game will be seen as a show of big support to end the Civil War.
