FC Dallas have announced the signing of Argentine forward Matias Jara.
The 25-year old joins the Texan club after playing in Argentina's second division with Guillermo Brown last season.
Dallas head coach Schellas Hyndman has brought Jara in to try and strengthen his strikeforce with the club's technical director Fernando Clavijo hoping the former CAI, Godoy Cruz, Huachipato and Chacarita Juniors man can bring some goals to the line-up.
"He can combine with another forward and give us an option to play with two strikers up front," Clavijo told MLSsoccer.com.
"At the same time, he's very smart and his movements are very intelligent. When you see David [Ferreira] working with everyone, I think [Matias] is one guy who can definitely play off David and Blas Perez, but also play as a lone striker."
