Tata Martino has spoken of his one year in charge of Barcelona. Martino admits he didn't understand the culture at Barca, where winning wasn't always enough.
"We went there to try and do a good job, and in my own judgement we didn't achieve that. If I analyse the results and the job in itself, I am entirely unhappy with the year I had there and I take most of the responsibility upon myself," the new Argentina manager revealed.
"I'm sure that everything that happened was in part unfair and in part fair. The reality is that I find it hard to figure out which was the fair part and which was the unfair part, but I can say, as I did when I left Barcelona, that I feel absolutely responsible for a year which, by Barcelona's standards, was bad.
"It was a scenario which I had not previously come across, which I became accustomed to over the year. Coming from Argentina where the results are everything, and going into a place where it seemed the result was not enough, I had to learn pretty fast. And I sure learnt that lesson."
