Argentine and Tottenham legend Ossie Ardiles has warned Liverpool that Javier Mascherano is unsettled.

Ardiles told the Daily Star Sunday: "I know Javier is very happy playing in the Premier League and England - but I feel if he can move to Barcelona, he will.

"There are a lot of reasons why he wants to go - and I would not say money is the primary one - even if he won't be happy at being on less money than some at Liverpool.

"It's the lure of Barca, who are the best team in Europe, plus the Spanish lifestyle would suit him and his family.

"Liverpool are a wonderful club but Javier appears to have made up his mind."
