Middlesbrough midfielder Julio Arca believes the club can stay alive in the top flight this season and will sacrifice a good run in the FA Cup to do so.

'Boro currently sit second-bottom on the Premier League table and face Wigan this weekend, followed by the FA Cup replay with West Ham just three days later.

"At the moment, it's more important to beat Wigan than to stay in the FA Cup," he said.

"But if we play like we did last weekend, I'm confident we'll be okay."
