Arbroath have revealed that £15,000 owed to them by Hearts for the sale of Andy Webster will be paid next month. The Jambos owe Arbroath a cut of the £150,000 they received from Wigan for the transfer of Andy Webster, who began his career at Gayfield Park.
Arbroath secretary Gary Callon has confirmed the Scottish Premier League club have now agreed to pay the money on January 9.
He said: "Hearts have made contact and have asked that they defer the payment until January.
"We have agreed to that on the condition that they make the payment and include a favourable interest rate on the figure going all the way back to August when we first submitted the invoice.
"We are due £14,437 plus VAT with the interest on top and we have been told that will be paid on January 9."
