Arbeloa confident Real Madrid will end Man City Champions League hopes

Real Madrid fullback Alvaro Arbeloa is confident ending Manchester City's slim Champions League hopes tonight.

He admits he is stunned that Manchester City are not topping their Champions League group.

Ex-Liverpool man Arbeloa, 29, insisted: "It's a real surprise to me that City are not heading the group.

"They made it difficult for us in the Bernabeu and we are prepared for a big battle.

"But we want the points to beat Dortmund to top spot - and we can get them. Benzema is out of this world, a very classy and talented footballer.

"And Cristiano Ronaldo has not changed.

"For me he is the same player as in past seasons and the rumours about problems in the dressing room are not true. I believe he is happy at Real Madrid."
