Alberto Aquilani says he will wait to talk to Liverpool about his future at the club.
The Italian midfielder has spent the past two seasons on loan with Juventus and AC Milan after signing with the Reds from Roma in 2009 and admits he doesn't know where his future lies.
With the Anfield club poised to sign Swansea City's Brendan Rodger as their new manager, Aquilani says he will wait to speak to the right people before making a decision.
"I'm waiting for Liverpool to decide the name of the new coach, then we will meet in order to understand their plans. Only then will I be able to make the right decision.
"It is important that I have the opportunity to make a contribution, to be able to play well and play regularly.""I need to understand whether there are conditions for an agreement that satisfies everyone," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
