Roma midfield ace Alberto Aquilani rejected an offer from Chelsea as a 16 year-old, it has been revealed.
Corriere della Sera says in 2001, then Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri targeted the Italian youngster, but Aquilani chose to stay at the Stadio Olimpico.
