Alberto Aquilani has assured young Roma fans he is close to signing a new contract.

Aquilani was swamped by young fans on Friday in Trigoria and was asked if he would be signing his new deal.

"Yes, yes, it will happen ...," smiled Aquilani as he signed autographs.
