Alisher Apsalyamov has left Cardiff City as head of recruitment.
The Mail on Sunday says Apsalyamov has left the club following issues obtaining a work visa.
The inexperienced 23-year-old was controversially appointed by owner, Vincent Tan, after the club's former head of recruitment, Iain Moody, was sacked after a row about overspending during the summer transfer window.
Apsalyamov, who has no recognisable background in professional football, had originally joined the south Wales club on work experience before being thrust into the seat formerly occupied by Moody.
