Appleton happy to work with new West Brom boss Hodgson

Michael Appleton is confident he has a future at West Bromwich Albion.

Appleton took charge for the Baggies' 3-3 draw with West Ham United as new manager Roy Hodgson looked on from the stands.

"I spoke to Roy last night and he said he is keen to work with me," Appleton said.

"Obviously I would be daft not to work with someone of his experience in the game.

"I'm sure that sort of thing will be qualified over the next few days from the football club, but as far as I'm concerned, he is more than happy for me to work alongside him.

"Roy has a fantastic record and has worked at some wonderful clubs in different countries.

"He has a wealth of experience and I can't wait to work alongside him.

"It was my first game today and I've embraced it and enjoyed it, even if there was a little bit of relief towards the end to get the point."
