Anzhi signing Yury Zhirkov admits he never fully settled at Chelsea.
Zhirkov cost Chelsea £18million from CSKA Moscow two years ago but this week signed for Anzhi Makhachkala for £15m.
"The choice to leave Chelsea was very tough," he said. "However, I was unhappy with the idea of spending more time on the bench than on the pitch.
"I also had problems with life in London. At home everything is clear and familiar, which is, of course, better, not just for me, but also for my family, whose interests come first."
